ATTEND AN ORGANIZING TRAINING
PJB hosts organizing trainings for workers looking to form a union.
We also offer programs for existing union members who want to deepen their labor organizing skills.
If you work or live in the Greater Philadelphia area and are vaccinated you are invited to attend one of these trainings.
There is no cost to attend. Trainings occur on a rolling basis, register to attend and we'll schedule a date that works.
HOW TO FORM A UNION 101 & 102
Learn how to map your workplace, the stages of a campaign, forming a committee, have effective conversations with coworkers, conduct thorough research on your employer, create a power map, plan a strategy, and win a majority union.
For workers wanting to unionize their workplace. The 101 training is for two-days, three hours both days. The 102 takes place several weeks after completion of the 101 and is also a training over two days, three hours each day. Occurs on a rolling basis.
THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING CAMPAIGN 101 & 102
Learn how to build an organizing campaign around your bargaining demands, get mass participation from coworkers, plan an advanced escalation calendar to win a strong contract, the labor laws around negotiations, how to write contract articles, and practice negotiating against the boss.
For union members preparing for upcoming negotiations. Ideally your negotiations are still several months away, but even if they're happening in the next few weeks this training will be useful. The 101 training is for two-days, three hours both days. The 102 takes place several weeks after completion of the 101 and is also a training over two days, three hours each day. Occurs on a rolling basis.
BUILD A STRONGER UNION 101 & 102
Learn the building blocks of member organizing like mapping your workplace, having effective conversations with coworkers, servicing grievances on the shop floor, going deeper with your stewards and elected leaders, running successful meetings, and creating plans of action to gain more victories on the job.
For union members wanting to jump-start union activity and build a more powerful union. The 101 training is for two-days, three hours both days. The 102 takes place several weeks after completion of the 101 and is also a training over two days, three hours each day. Occurs on a rolling basis.
